Jams, Honey, Oil and In Oil

At Il Trebbio everybody works. Cristina, one of those super mothers-in-law, is the official producer of all fantastic produces that are patiently and carefully made in the different seasons.

Jams served at breakfast are made with first-rate fresh fruit, without preservatives and taste like old times jams.

If you chance to come to the farmhouse in August, you may easily find tables covered of hot peppers to stuff, while in July large amounts of pitted fruit to put in jars…
When the garden produces, we bring home large amounts of string beans, peas, courgettes that are patiently put in jars for winter times.

The oil is produced at the farmhouse and it is really genuine. Olives are collected by hand in order to avoid damages to olives that are immediately pressed and keep all the fragrances and scents. This way the oil acidity may be close to zero or little more. The varieties of plants are the classic ones found in central Tuscany that are very suitable to local climate.

Honey is put in jars for us by the company Gualdani that brings its beehives in the fileds around the farmhouse Santa Rosa, where bees may operate peacefully.
