In the Casentino area at 500 meters above sea level, plunged in the most uncontaminated nature…

In the heart of Tuscany, 20 km North of Arezzo, just before the National Park of the casentino Woods, there stands the farmhouse "Il Trebbio".

A long unsurfaced road leads to the farmhouse, from where you can easily arrive at the other farmhouses spread on a surface of 44 hectares.

How to get there

By car

From Milan and Rome by the highway A1, exit Arezzo
Follow direction Casentino - Bibbiena (main road SS71).
Pass the village of Subbiano after 5 km at km 166.800.
Turn right to Poggio D'Acona (there is a board writing "Agriturismo Il Trebbio").
Once arrived at the village, turn right to Chitignano.
After passing the hill (about 700 meters of unsurfaced road), the second gate on your left is the entrance to "Il Trebbio".

From the main road E45
Exit the main road E45 at Anghiari.
Cross the Scheggia pass and follow direction Capolona; drive on to Subbiano after 5 km at km 166.800.
Turn right to Poggio D'Acona (there is a board writing "Agriturismo Il Trebbio").
Once arrived at the village, turn right to Chitignano.
After passing the hill (about 700 meters of unsurfaced road), the second gate on your left is the entrance to "Il Trebbio".

By train

Railway line Arezzo-Stia: stop at Calbenzano (7 km).

By plane

The closest airports are Florence (50 km) and Pisa (147 km). Bologna is 168 km far and Rome 270 km.

By bus

From Florence: bus service SITA, line Florence-Bibbiena, stop at Bibbiena Station.

Climate is very mild, even on summer night the area is always windy, we sleep well at night and during the day air is temperate. It is possible to visit art cities ou to have trekking in the Casentino Woods, sometimes to relax beside the swimming pool available at the Villa Poggio dei Cipressi.

During the year in the village of Poggio D'Acona live about 50 people including Stella and Luca (in summer there are tourists); the village is of Etruscan origin and was founded in 1200. Caterina's grandfather had bought several farmhouses in this area, she is very attached to them because she spent there pleasant moments of her childhood. Unfortunately there's no business there but it's so pleasant to walk in to visit the village or attend Sunday's Holy Mass.

This area is rich in mystic places to visit, such as the monastries of Camaldoli and La Verna, and itineraries of old churches and castles; Caprese Michelangelo, Sansepolcro, Anghiari and Arezzo are close by and are suitable to whom may want to join relax and culture and every first Sunday of the month the Antiques market may represent a great occasion for shopping.
